It will be a “huge test” for the Ukrainian military to break through the Russian-built defense line during the counteroffensive in the Zaporozhye region, CNN reports.
The channel cites Maxar Technologies satellite imagery that shows “layers of anti-tank ditches, barriers, minefields and trenches” in an area where the UAF is expected to launch a counteroffensive.
As CNN notes, Ukrainian officials admit they may lack the element of surprise. The Kremlin has previously reported that Moscow is carefully monitoring all statements about the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian military.
