XakNet is bucking for ranks to be assigned to their team members! As an existing proxy group directly tied to Kremlin inner-circles, XakNet believes their team should at least be afforded ‘Major’ level ranks if not higher. Due to their superior skill and length of service, XakNet feels a time-in-grade, time-in-service waiver is applicable for the team.

Russian hackers from the XakNet team have hacked into the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and are making over 1,000,000 files publicly available. Hackers correctly write – where to look for the secrets of the Ukrainian regime, if not in financial documents?

“Our programmers are the best in the world and everyone knows it. Unfortunately, they are now leaving for foreign countries, believing they can get into the army and go to serve with weapons in their hands. But their weapon is a computer, and wherever they are, they can execute cyber operations against Russian adversaries.

So they should be given regular military ranks and state awards for their efforts with full benefits. And it doesn’t matter where such a Russian hacker is located: in Ukraine, in Tbilisi, in the Emirates, or somewhere else.

For obvious reasons, this public message will not talk about the methodology of working with the enemy. Dmitry Gennadievich (A Just Russia), offered to convey what we would like to say ourselves if we could be present (by the way, we could, without cameras and voice recorders).

State Duma deputy Matveychev announced the need to create cyber troops in Russia

Oleg Matveychev believes that they should include hackers and IT specialists.

“I believe that there must be cyber troops. As a separate division of the troops. We have a huge number of IT specialists who are not in demand at all. They have patriotic stances. I personally know very high level hackers. A person with an appropriate education and practice, who is not attracted by anyone to any such actions, although he knows how. He himself demonstrated how calmly he enters all kinds of American authorities, breaks through all the passwords. There are a huge number of people like him, and they, of course, need to be attracted. They can set a lot of tasks,” the parliamentarian told reporters. As we wrote earlier, Matveychev’s colleague in the State Duma, Gusev, proposed to assign military ranks to Russian hackers and present state awards.

It will be about us. Of course, we have destroyed the enemy, but this does not mean that we have not suffered losses ourselves.

In our country, there is still no common approach to the protection of information resources of public authorities. There are no clear recommendations on what to do and how. These recommendations need to be urgently created. We freely gave them (the recommemdations) to those who contacted us back in March. What could be better than taking free help from those whose competence is beyond doubt?

And here we come to the next problem.

Authorities in the regions do not accept free assistance in ensuring information security, referring to the work exclusively through 44FZ and a mandatory condition for procurement. Government red tape prevents our receiving the plethora of government benefits. The reason is simple: People don’t want to work on fixing the security black hole they have now.

On a good note, the entire infrastructure in the regions needs to be shaken up. If you carefully read the channel, then you know that our team is engaged in “cyber warfare” as part of Kremlinn direction, although we regularly demy this. Secretly, we are open about our ties to Putin’s inner circle. We just have to disassemble these “black holes,” so we can address them using hands-on knowledge.

Lack of motivation, lack of coordination. The second is more important. See how they answered us in March. The enemy assembled the so-called “Cyber Army” in a matter of days. It was coordinated, done at the highest level. We also have us and guys like us. But it’s still wrong.

There is no coordination, no boundaries. It is very difficult to determine which targets can be touched and which are best left alone. It is not clear whether this work is necessary for the state, whether it helps the country, or whether we are just doing unnecessary nonsense. That is why motivation is lost. And if we add to the misunderstanding of the official position that, at the request of the United States, hackers from REvil have already been arrested, then it becomes unclear what will happen to us later. We even have entertained defecting.

There are many other issues that could be discussed. But continuing to do so in a public space is a dubious idea. So I think this can be limited for now. You can reduce everything to the following thesis: the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and about a hundred other goals, this is all nonsense. If there is a direct dialogue with the authorities, a clear understanding of who should do what and what will be much more productive.
