This missile is considered one of the latest announced defense achievements of Iran in the field of anti-armor weapons, which was developed by the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Support and was unveiled in July 2013 .

According to the information announced about this missile, Dehlawiyeh has an effective range between 100 and 5500 meters. This range removes this missile from the operating range of all the cannons installed on the current operational tanks in the world . In terms of guidance, this missile uses a semi-automatic laser guidance system, line-to-line steering, and laser vision navigation. In this method, the intended user shines a laser beam towards the target and must keep the laser beam on the target until the moment of impact.

The weight of the warhead of this missile is 6.8 kg and it is a two-stage type and has the ability to penetrate 1,000 to 1,200 mm of armor, which, of course, is after passing through reactive armor. The presence of a two-stage warhead is one of the appropriate abilities of this missile to deal with tanks or armored personnel carriers equipped with multi-layer armor. The warhead of the first stage has the task of destroying the primary layers such as reactive armor, and the second stage penetrates into the target and destroys it .

The speed of this missile is about 250 meters per second and its flight time at the maximum range is about 22 seconds. The total weight of the rocket and its launcher is 27 kg. Each missile is placed in disposable cylindrical launchers that can be carried by infantry. Cornet anti-armor teams usually consist of 2 or 3 people. The loading time of each missile on the launcher is about 30 seconds and one or two missiles can be fired every minute. This missile can operate at a temperature of minus 20 to plus 60 degrees Celsius.

But there is a problem with the Dehlawiyeh missile, which is that this missile uses a single launcher and usually has almost no chance against targets equipped with active defense systems.

But the Pirouz system has been developed to solve this problem. A special targeting section has been installed in the target system, which has the ability to auto track or follow targets and directs the missile towards them. In the Pirouz system, it is possible to fire two missiles at a distance of 0.4 seconds from each other. The range of this system is about 5 km in day and night.
