The Lobaev Sniper School has announced the start of its next training course for Russian snipers on November 7. The course, specifically tailored for active-duty sniper pairs, will emphasize advanced techniques for precision engagement at ranges exceeding one kilometer under challenging conditions. The training will take place at the Nevsky Brigade Sniper Training Center, with a focus on enhancing the operational effectiveness of sniper teams.

Course Structure and Requirements
1. Participation Criteria
Snipers are required to arrive in pairs, equipped with their own operational weapons, ammunition, and additional equipment such as weather stations, spotting scopes, and rangefinders.
Priority will be given to units recently supplied with new rifles from the Ministry of Defense, ensuring that the training accommodates snipers with the latest available armaments.
2. Course Focus
“Confident Operation of Sniper Teams Beyond One Kilometer in Difficult Conditions”
The module is intended to refine skills in long-range accuracy and precision under adverse environmental conditions, addressing critical factors such as wind, temperature, and ballistic performance at extended ranges.
3. Equipment Standards and Restrictions
The course organizers have set strict equipment guidelines to ensure compatibility with the demanding course objectives. Snipers are advised against using Chinese-manufactured optics on high-precision rifles, as these may not offer the clarity and stability needed for long-range engagements.
Additionally, heavy rifles should not be equipped with Harris, Atlas, or other lightweight bipods deemed unsuitable for stability at extended ranges. The training team stresses the importance of using a fully compatible shooting system capable of maintaining accuracy at the specified distances
Confirmation of Participation
Units that have submitted applications are required to reconfirm their participation to secure their placement in the course.
