This November 27, 2023, satellite image shows the two main facilities in the Alabuga Economic Zone located in Russia’s Yelabuga. Where Shahid-136, aka Geran-2, is produced.
These buildings were first identified by the White House earlier this year as the manufacturing sites for Golshamadani drones, and Alabuga’s internal documents confirm this.
In fact, JSC Alabuga is the main responsibility for the production and supply of Shahid 136 and several other types of UAVs to the Russian army.
Alabuga has numbered these facilities as sheds 8.1 and 8.2, respectively.

According to the layout of Alabuga’s internal documents, building 8.2 is completely dedicated to the production of Shahid-136, and only part of building 8.1 is dedicated to the production of Shahid-136.
As can be seen, all the buildings in this area are covered with snow, except for buildings 8.1 and 8.2, which only show a thin layer of snow on their roofs.
The lack of significant snow cover indicates that the roofs were either manually cleared of snow or the heat from the activity of these facilities melted the snow on the roofs.
Tire tracks on the snow-covered ground indicate the continuous activity of this facility.
The parking lot outside the main area is also about two-thirds full, which indicates the presence of employees. The security perimeter, which was clearly under construction in mid-September, is nearing completion, with only a gap remaining in the southwest corner.
