According to NASA estimates, the meteorite, which is about 4 kilometers in diameter, is approaching Earth at a speed of more than 31,000 kilometers per hour.
According to calculations, the meteorite will be close to Earth on April 29, however it will not hit the Earth and will pass 6.3 million kilometers away. This distance is about 16 times the distance from the earth to the moon. In 2031, it will cross the Earth again. Meteors more than a kilometer in diameter are large enough to threaten life on Earth. If such objects hit the Earth, a hole at least 10 kilometers or more in size would form, causing extensive destruction and possibly the extinction of human civilization.
