The morning in Tehran was cold, and it was the twenty-eighth day of February in the year 2026. The city was very quiet. It was quiet because the internet had been down for a long time, and people were afraid. The streets were full of Basij and Revolutionary Guard, and they were tired and did not want to fight anymore. In a compound in the heart of the city, an older man met with his advisors. He was eighty-six years old. He had ruled for thirty-seven years. He was the Supreme Leader, but the machines in the sky and the men in the dark rooms in Tel Aviv and Washington knew everything about him. They knew when he woke. They knew what he ate. They knew the names of the men who walked beside him.¹ They called this his pattern of life.

Tracking a man like Ali Khamenei is not easy. It is a long business. It is a business of patience and machines and the betrayal of friends. The intelligence services used three things to watch him. They used the boots on the ground. They used the eyes in the sky. They used the ghosts in the wires. They watched the way the shadow moved across the courtyard of the Bayt.² They watched the way the trucks arrived at the missile cities. They watched the signals pulse from the bunkers in the mountains. This report is about how they watched him and how they knew it was time to strike.

These agents were recruited in third countries. They were given free trips to places where the regime could not see them. They were not all students. Some were customs officers. Some were truck drivers. Some were high-ranking officials in the security services. There was even a double agent who ran the unit designed to catch Israeli spies. • The Holy Men- Some agents posed as Imams in mosques. They used religion to hide the work of the spear.
• The Commoners- Female agents often walked the streets with a “male guardian.” They dressed in Islamic clothing and looked like any other couple. While they walked, they were mapping the security cameras and the patrol schedules.
• The Insiders- Some agents never left their jobs. They stayed in the Ministry of Energy or the Revolutionary Guard. They whispered about the locks and the rhythms of the night.

Safe Houses and the Silent Workshops

The agents lived in safe houses. These were three-story buildings right under the regime’s nose. Inside these houses, the agents built weapons. They built drones with wings smuggled in through 24 separate containers. They kept 200 kilos of explosives in the basements. They had GPS boxes and launch systems. They assembled the weapons and waited for the coordinates. They did not know what the target was until the order came through at 3 a.m.

Lethality and the “Tip of the Spear”

The most dangerous men belonged to a unit called Kidon. Kidon means “bayonet” in Hebrew. They are the assassins. There are fewer than 75 of them. Their motto is “Silent, Swift, Deadly.” They do not use patches or names. They use magnetized explosives. They use drones that fly into windows. The Eyes in the Sky and the Glass Battlefield

Tracking Khamenei’s movements involved monitoring the motorcade. The satellites tracked the number of vehicles. They tracked the route from the palace to the mosque. They combined this with the buildings’ heat signatures. A meeting of twenty men makes a different heat signature than an empty room. This is how they knew the meeting had begun.¹¹

The Ghosts in the Wires and the Digital Blackout

The third pillar was the signal intelligence, better known as the art of listening to things that are not spoken aloud. In January of 2026, the regime tried to shut down the internet. They called it a “Selective Whitelist”.¹³ They wanted to cut off the protesters while keeping the banks and the military connected. They thought this would keep them safe. However, they were wrong.

A pattern of life is a map of a man’s habits. Ali Khamenei was an older man with many habits. The CIA and the Mossad studied these habits for years.¹ They knew what time he prayed. The Supreme Leader was dead. The Rial was at 1,000,000 per dollar, and oil was not moving through the Strait of Hormuz.¹⁷ The world was watching the smoke rise from the compound in Tehran, and they knew that things would never be the same. The Supreme Leader was gone, and the pattern of life was over. The machines saw it all.
