The interceptor drone looks like a missile and can reach speeds of up to 300 km/h. The UAV’s arsenal includes four special cartridges.
Enemy drones are destroyed using pellets.
The new Russian drone is part of a promising modular air defense system, which is also being developed by specialists from ANO Center Rivir.
This platform consists of several key components. One of them is an optical UAV detection unit with a range of up to 5 km.
The complex also includes an automatic target fixation system and a flight path calculator, allowing the drone to fly in automatic mode and search in a given square in the conditions of electronic warfare.
Flight tests of the device are currently underway at the center.
The development of the civil air defense system is planned to be completed by the end of 2024.
Work is currently being completed on confirming the flight and technical characteristics of the interceptor drone.
In the future, the new civil air defense system will be able to be used, among other things, in offensive operations.
