SAVAK – The Book

“Savak book from establishment to liquidation”

This book was written by Morteza Mousavi, one of the counter-intelligence officers of SAVAK, and was published for the first time in the summer of 1401;  This intelligence officer left the country after the revolution and lives abroad.

🔸 It is obvious that this book can be criticized and also written from the language of one of the enemies of the system, and the author’s mental orientation is clear from the beginning;  But with all these things, it can still provide the reader with historical information and opinions from the other side’s point of view.

Author’s note

This book, which was written with the encouragement of my children, is a collection of correct information for the young generation and the future generations of the country to learn more about the history and events of the past ninety years of our country, Iran, and I present this writing to my beloved wife and my children. My family members were with me everywhere in the difficulties of the life of a SAVAK intelligence member and have endured these difficulties with patience. In the first ten years of my service in Tehran, due to the lack of personnel, I had to deal with the reports received from all the cities and borders of Iran every day until late at night and issue executive orders. Also, I had to study the reports of various agents of the Soviet independent sector and operationally, Prepare for the higher authorities. Every morning when I left home early in the morning, my children were asleep, and when I returned home late at night, they were still asleep, and I did not have a chance to take care of their affairs. .

I was fighting for the safety of my family. We have to change our residential house every 6 months. The problems of transferring and changing the children’s school were also a heavy burden that was on the shoulders of my dear wife.

During the mission in the southern countries of the Persian Gulf and living in Dubai, the threats to the lives of Palestinians and Iraqis completely disturbed my peace and my family.

In 1353, if it wasn’t for my wife’s cleverness and vigilance, she would have been kidnapped from her home. A person who had his whole head bandaged goes to the door of the house by car. Leaving the country and moving to other countries was not an easy task and each time we had to start from scratch to build a life.

In addition, I am sincerely grateful to my former colleagues in SAVAK who have helped me in reading and reviewing this book and expressing their valuable opinions in correcting and editing the writings of this side.
