Interestingly, among the blacklisted companies, the US Treasury Department singles out the shell company Sahara Thunder and notes its role in the transfer to Russia of thousands of Iranian drones used in the aggressive war against Ukraine.
We will remind that on February 4, 2024, the hacker group Prana Network announced the hacking of the mail servers of the Iranian company IRGC Sahara Thunder, which contained an array of data on the production of Shahed-136 attack drones.
In the course of these showers, it was noted that Iranian drones pass in the documents under a special code cipher as (Russian) ” Dolphin 632 type motor boat “.
In the context and in continuation of this topic of cooperation between Russian drone manufacturers and the Iranians, on April 15, 2024 , the first part of the CYBINT study on the hacking of the Russian company “Albatross”, which also referred to the so-called ” Dolphin 632 motor boats ” – Shahed-136 ( Geranium-2). As a result of this hack, we expect the Russian JSC “OEZ PVT “Alabuga”, “Alabuga Development”, “Alabuga Exim” and “Alabuga Machinery” to be sanctioned.
