Four journalists of “Farda Ekhtaz” were transferred to an unknown place
Four journalists of “Fardai Ekhtaz” media named Mehrdad Asgari, Nikan Khabazi, Ali Tasnimi and Behzad Bahmannejad have been transferred to an unknown location.
The latest reports indicate that these four journalists were transferred to an unknown location last Friday after four days of imprisonment inside their workplace.
Ali Mirzakhani, the editor of Farda Ekhtaz, who was locked in his workplace along with his four colleagues, was finally allowed to leave his workplace on Thursday and 24 hours before the transfer of four other journalists.
On Monday, the 16th of this month, intelligence agencies raided the editorial office of “Fardai Ekhtaz” and locked several journalists working in this media inside the building. They also confiscated the mobile phones of all employees of this media and their other electronic equipment.
Despite six days of detention and interrogation of these journalists, the judicial system of the Islamic Republic claimed that “the inspection of this media outlet had nothing to do with journalistic and media activity” and that it was to arrest a “former economic reporter”.
