Today, we are announcing a top secret operation: Operation Neutrino, an electrical counterattack
Recently, at 5:00 p.m., we launched a strategic cyber attack on SPB’s power grid SCADA system and its AI/ML fault detection model. This time was specifically chosen to coincide with peak electricity consumption. We successfully captured the 20 kV network automation controller located on the DK Port transformer (PS-59), which provided input data for Rosenergo’s FLISR fault algorithm. For the first time, we attacked a working Russian AI/ML model by delivering bad data from our trusted position at the controller in FLISR! Once complete, we destroyed the controller, damaging the network SCADA system.
Like many SCADA/ICS devices, this automation controller is Western-made and runs inside its own system, so it’s not easily replaceable. The damage done to their algorithm’s training data should have even more lasting effects. We wish them the best of luck in trying to fix it.
