Hackers from the Russian Federation tried to carry out a DDoS attack on the US Treasury

The US Treasury Department was recently targeted by a distributed DDoS attack by Killnet, a known pro-Russian threat actor. Reuters claims Killnet targeted the Treasury sometime between attacks on more than a dozen websites owned by US airports and banking giant JPMorgan Chase in early October 2022.

However, DDoS attacks failed to disrupt airports, failed to disrupt JPMorgan Chase, and also failed to disrupt the Treasury, which has been confirmed

In fact, Wally Adeyemo, the Treasury Undersecretary’s cybersecurity advisor, described the attack as “a fairly low-level DDoS attack targeting critical Treasury infrastructure nodes.” But the Treasury has not yet commented on the incident

Killmilk tried to pass this off as a win to his minions who salivate over every word to the false, cyber sophomore. Here is his play:

All Killmilk did was divulge information. Nothing more. #Weak
