Russia has launched a program for the return of highly qualified specialists to their homeland.

The Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Industry and Trade are preparing a program that will help specialists who have immigrated to other countries to return to Russia. It will be aimed at those who feel uncomfortable in foreign countries.

Government sources say there are many return requests related to “unfolding pressure on Russians”, most of which come from European countries.

Russia already has a repatriation program that has been in place since 2007. Its development is being discussed now. Under this program, some measures to support highly qualified specialists are already available, including compensation for travel costs, benefits for up to six months in the absence of work, and other benefits.

The government believes that they will be able to create conditions that will keep high-class specialists in the country, as well as motivate those who have already immigrated to return.

Do you think the Ministry of Labor will be able to create conditions under which IT specialists and engineers want to return to Russia?
