IS media (ISCAP) confirmed that the Macomia area had been exposed to two security incidents on Sunday 2/1/2022 :
– An attack targeting the village of Nova Zambézia, killing 3 Christians.
– An attack targeting the village of Mbada led to the flight of the Mozambican army and the burning of a large number of Christian homes.
A new attack attributed to IS militants (ISCAP) targeted the village of Nova Zambézia for the second consecutive day, as it was at dawn today, Monday 3/1/2022.
It led to the killing of 5 Christians and the burning of more than 10 houses.
