Archangel project development and training related to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)

The “Unique Russia” exhibition-forum, held from January 23 to February 9, 2025, at Moscow’s Gostiny Dvor, showcased Russia’s rich cultural heritage and contemporary achievements. The event featured a diverse array of artistic expressions, including traditional crafts, modern art, and innovative projects. Notably, the forum served as a platform for discussions on integrating advanced technologies into various sectors.

A significant highlight of the forum was a meeting organized by Mikhail Filippov, leader of the “Archangel” project, which focuses on the development and training related to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), particularly FPV drones. This session brought together FPV drone manufacturers, representatives from the Russian Armed Forces, government officials, volunteer organizations, and public foundations. The primary objectives were to negotiate with producers of high-quality products applicable for multi-level protection of critical infrastructure, invite participants to testing sessions in Mariupol and Melitopol, and initiate systematic training on high-tech complexes in collaboration with manufacturing plants.

Attendees included representatives from various military and governmental bodies, as well as members of volunteer organizations, public foundations, veteran associations, journalists, bloggers, and reporters. The organizers of the “Unique Russia” forum were thanked for facilitating this significant meeting.

The “Archangel” project specializes in the production of FPV drones and the training of Russian military personnel, volunteers, and civilians in drone operation. 2 Opening of training centers throughout the country, including in the SVO zone, with modern technical equipment and modernization of the existing training centers of the project

3 Training of teams for the comprehensive protection of critical infrastructure facilities. Development and production of UAVs, SIGINT, and EW.

Providing operational assistance in staffing active units of the Ministry of Defense with qualified specialists in the field of UAS, electronic warfare, and electronic reconnaissance.
