Russia is conducting a large-scale construction of new nuclear submarines, such volumes have not been seen since Soviet times.

This was stated by Commander-in-Chief of the Navy Nikolai Evmenov, Interfax reports.  Today, December 25, where the new strategic nuclear submarine Generalissimo Suvorov was taken out of the shed.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Navy noted that nuclear submarines are our strategic argument, they stand in defense of our country.  Evmenov said that the Generalissimo Suvorov nuclear submarine will strengthen the Russian Pacific Fleet in 2022.

JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation is the largest shipbuilding company in Russia.

The corporation includes about 40 enterprises and organizations of the industry: the main shipbuilding and ship repair yards, leading design bureaus.  At present, most of the domestic shipbuilding complex is consolidated on the basis of USC.  More than 80 thousand people work at enterprises and organizations that are part of USC.
