Islamic State calls on supporters to start fires

The Islamic State has called on its supporters to start fires in countries where “non-believers” live.

The weekly newspaper of the Islamic State “Naba” published an article about the fires in the USA. The propagandists noted, not without admiration, that the ordinary fire caused colossal damage to the country (estimated at $275 billion). At the same time, the States were not prepared for the elements and could not cope with it. The authorities even released prisoners to solve the problem. The propagandists said that the fires are “punishment from Allah for the actions of the Americans against Muslims.”

The authors of the article called on the so-called “lone wolves” to cause such fires that would strike at the economy of the countries of “non-believers.” The propagandists published a brochure with instructions on how to start an arson, which describes the best way to do it and how to choose a target. Among the recommended objects for attack are shopping centers, gas stations, farms, warehouses and industrial zones.

The practice of setting fires by the Islamic State is not new. For example, in 2020, militants actively set fire to the farmland of security forces and undesirable persons in Iraq in order to inflict economic damage on the enemy.
