China accounts for more than a third of Russia’s foreign trade – 33.8%, RBC reports , citing the Federal Customs Service. This is about $197 billion out of a total trade turnover of $584 billion for the first ten months of 2024.

Russia’s largest trading partners also included India (8.8%), Turkey (8.3%), Belarus (7.1%), Kazakhstan (4.0%), South Korea (2.1%), Germany (1.8%), Armenia (1.8%), Italy (1.5%) and Uzbekistan (1.4%).
Trade turnover between Russia and China from January to November 2024 increased by 2.1% compared to the same period in 2023. This is evidenced by data from the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China.
