Jersey is a self-governing territory of the British Crown in the English Channel, 22 kilometers from France. The island is included in the list of the top 10 “tax havens” of the world – jurisdictions that are most often used to avoid paying income tax

Abramovich is under UK sanctions, and Jersey, although not formally a part of the country, has pledged to fully harmonize its sanctions regime.

In 2018, the Government of Jersey offered Abramovich a residence permit

His assets are controlled by his sisters, including through a fund with the straightforward name Sister Trust.

Through him, Usmanov’s sister Gulbahor Ismailova owns the Dilbar yacht. This was officially announced today by the German police and froze the yacht.

It was on the Dilbar yacht that Usmanov recorded video messages to Alexei Navalny. According to Forbes, this is the most spacious yacht in the world, it has a swimming pool, two helipads, a sauna, a beauty salon and a gym.
