Many AES brothers ask which platforms are safe to use, which are best for sharing media and which are best for private conversations.
Through research conducted by AES as well as reading historical EHF articles, AES has determined that XMPP is a secure platform that promotes anonymity by not requiring a phone number or email to register and supports TLS encryption.

The downloadable chat app for Android or F-Droid is an easy way to use XMPP on your mobile device but it runs the risk that your normal use of your phone could expose you if you do not follow secure practices.
To prevent this, AES recommends using a desktop computer with one of the Gajim or PSI+ applications. Both of these applications are easy to navigate and allow the supporter to choose their own server by creating an account on them.
AES recommends using chatwith.xyz, draugr.de, or blabber.im due to previous articles and a long security record and that their companies do not give in to survey services (companies are built on data privacy).
Another secure alternative is RocketChat, which can be accessed through the RocketChat app and is available for download on iOS and Android devices. RocketChat offers anonymity and secure communication through end-to-end encryption, but like other chat apps, your regular phone usage can be risky if you don’t follow secure practices.
AES recommends using the TechHaven server on RocketChat as there are many trusted brothers on the server who communicate globally and communicate with each other daily in our common quest to support the Mujahideen.
