Stavropol paratroopers of the Novorossiysk Guards Mountain Unit of the Airborne Forces showed a field workshop for repairing UAVs and manufacturing components for airborne landings
To manufacture components, the Dnepr Group of Forces’ paratroopers use a 3D printer, which allows them to quickly provide the necessary parts to units that use airborne UAVs and FPV drones in combat. In the workshop, the soldiers adapt various types of ammunition for dropping from UAVs – from VOG-17 to 3-kilogram bombs for opening and destroying well-fortified areas and enemy bunkers.
After the necessary element – module – is created in a specialized computer program, its data is sent to a 3D printer, which “prints” the necessary part – tails for stabilizing the ammunition when falling, ammunition bodies – “cups” – to reduce their weight, protective devices, fasteners. All this is provided to units performing special combat missions.
In addition, captured agricultural drones of the Baba Yaga type are repaired and reprogrammed, domestic ammunition droppers and components are installed on them. After that, they are sent to the Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in the Rabotino and Verbovoye areas, where they destroy the enemy.
The paratroopers also demonstrated the results of their work, as in one night in the area of the village of Verbove in the Zaporizhia region they managed to destroy more than 10 Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen and combat armored vehicles with UAV crews and airdrops.
