Satellite phones will become available to the heads of border regions of the Kursk region, where problems with mobile communications and the Internet have become a daily occurrence after a series of DDoS attacks.
According to a representative of the All-Russian People’s Front, who spoke at a briefing, the decision to provide satellite phones was made to ensure effective interaction between the leaders of these territories and central government bodies and other structures.
The start of the distribution of the devices is scheduled for next week, August 12. This decision came amid increased security measures in the region, which became one of three areas where a counter-terrorism operation (CTO) regime was introduced due to the growing threat of sabotage and terrorist acts from Ukraine.
