Herald of the Uprising Big report
Vestnik Vosstaniya sums up the year and publishes a large summary of Russian resistance news for 2023.
It is worth noting that the data below is the most conservative estimate since only those stocks that we wrote about this year were taken into account in the calculation.
We don’t know about many promotions because they don’t make it into the media.
We included in the analysis both successful guerrilla attacks and equally daring, but slightly less successful attempts.
But, at the same time, we did not take into account shares that were similar to FSB setups.
The rating is expectedly headed by railway resistance:
114 arson attacks on relay cabinets across the widest geography.
16 trains were derailed (not all recorded derailments are confirmed partisan actions, but by all indications they could be).
18 other attacks on the railway (for example, damage to the track or arson of cars).
More than 60 attacks on military registration and enlistment offices and mobilization points.
32 resistance actions against security forces, including an explosion in the FSB building in Rostov-on-Don.
23 “strange” fires at military-industrial complex facilities.
18 attacks to destroy Z-symbols or Z-cars.
17 attacks on oil and gas pipelines, power lines, and cell towers.
16 guerrilla actions using UAVs, including an attack on the Kremlin, which, according to military experts, was carried out from Russian territory.
11 digital actions carried out by cyber partisans.
9 attacks on administrative buildings and representatives of regional authorities.
6 units of destroyed military equipment, including Su-27 and Tu-22 aircraft.
6 striking border breakthroughs by Russian volunteers as part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
4 assassination attempts on propagandists and warmongers.
In total, more than 350 acts of resistance for 2023, that is, one action every day.
