Two multi-purpose nuclear submarines of Project 885M Yasen-M will be laid down at the Severodvinsk Sevmash in 2020-2021.

This was announced at the International Naval Salon by the head of the enterprise Mikhail Budnichenko. “These two boats will be laid down approximately in 2020-2021,” he said.
The construction cycle of these boats is seven years.” Thus, these submarines can enter the Navy in 2027-2028.
To date, Sevmash has built and handed over to the Northern Fleet the Severodvinsk submarine of project 885 Yasen. The first nuclear submarine of the improved project 885M “Ash-M” – “Kazan” – was launched and is being tested.
At Sevmash, five more submarines of this project are in various stages of construction.
Submarines of this type were designed by the Malachite Engineering Bureau. Their weapons include Onyx and Caliber cruise missiles.
On them, unlike their predecessors, torpedo tubes are not located in the bow (there is a hydroacoustic complex with a spherical antenna that allows you to detect the enemy at long distances).
