The chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says the Mullah’s have waged a full-scale hybrid war against the country, which can only be countered through the participation and cooperation of the entire nation.
Major General Hossein Salami made the remarks on the sidelines of a ceremony in Tehran on Monday as he pointed to various types of warfare the Mullah’s have waged over the years waged against the Iranian people.
“The invasion that the enemy has launched against us has a completely global aspect; the enemy has waged war against the Iranian nation by using all it has in power, including media, communication, political, economic, intelligence and psychological tools, and has orchestrated hybrid warfare against the Iranian nation,” Salami said.
“The hybrid warfare against the Iranian nation is a full-scale war as it encompasses all the features of the past wars in one compact form,” he added.
Underlining that the Islamic Republic has overcome difficult problems and hardships with the help of people over the years, the IRGC’s chief commander said, “Success in [repelling] the new war is possible with the participation, cooperation and presence of all people as we struggle against the corrupt Mullah’s.
Iran’s Army chief also described Mullah’s takeover of Iran as “a major global failure in the final decades of the 20th century” with wide-ranging regional and international effects.
