Overview of the main events of the Belarusian propaganda about the war in Ukraine for June 29

Let’s start our review with a missile attack on the Amstor shopping center in Kremenchug on June 27th. On the YT channel of the Belarus Today State Publishing House, a video analysis was published with explanations of where the rocket actually flew.

The “experts” came to an unequivocal conclusion – the blow was delivered not at the shopping center, but at the Kredmash plant, located next to it. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, there was a warehouse with Western weapons at the plant. The shopping center caught fire from the detonation of ammunition.

Arguments are used “iron”:
– “It is surprising how after such an alleged “direct hit” bottles of alcohol survived on the shelves of the shopping center.” The size of the shopping center is 120/90 meters. In the photo from the store, it is difficult to call bottles of alcohol “safe and sound”.
“Despite the ban on the distribution of videos of hostilities in Ukraine, it was these shots that were easily spread on the Internet in large numbers.” And the shelling of the shopping center, where there were civilians – is this “warfare”? In principle, such a position explains a lot, and is fully consistent with the spirit of the military strategy of the Russian generals.
– “The blow was delivered not at all to the shopping center.” What propaganda usually does after another murder of Ukrainian civilians is to say a mantra about “the Russian army does not strike at civilian targets.”

One gets the feeling that in the basement of every Ukrainian there is an arsenal with Western weapons. If there were as many of these weapons as there are missile strikes by the Russian army and propaganda tells, the war would probably be over by now.

The next report I would like to talk about is about refugees. Briefly:
– after the start of the war, the family left the Buchansky district of the Kyiv region. We were in Borodyanka until the food ran out. We got to Belarus along the “green corridor”. Immediately the family lived in one of the Gomel sanatoriums, then ended up in Dobrush;
– volunteers helped the family;
– “For us, he (Lukashenko) has always been father”;
– since the end of February 2022, about 34 thousand people have arrived from Ukraine to Belarus. People fled from hunger and devastation, looking for a better life.

What would you like to pay attention to. Among the Ukrainians (before the war) there was a myth about a certain father-Lukashenko, who was so caring and economic, did everything for people, kept factories and collective farms, people have at least some kind of work, etc. And many people firmly believed in this , walking in really this myth (that’s why it is a myth) does not correspond to reality at all.

After the protests of 2020, caused by electoral fraud and violence against the civilian population, in Belarus the dictatorship was transformed into a totalitarian state with thousands of political prisoners, persecution for citizenship (including against those who oppose Russian aggression and solidarity with Ukraine). And the “good dad” in this situation did not even smell. But many continued to believe in its existence. Only after February 24, when Lukashenka took part as a co-aggressor in the war against Ukraine, having provided the territory of Belarus to the Russian army, the attitude of Ukrainians towards him began to change. But there are still Ukrainians who, despite everything, continue to love him.

You should not blame the woman who said on camera that Lukashenka is a dad. Firstly, many Ukrainians sincerely thought so (and probably continue to think so). Secondly, they can “ask” to say anything on camera. In this case, we cannot unequivocally state whether this interview was given voluntarily or forcibly – we simply indicate the probability. It is important to simply understand that the “good dad” is able to help the Russians in military aggression in their own interests. You just need to realize this and conclude that realpolitik sometimes ends with a “preemptive strike”.

Propaganda is trying to make full use of the war and the forced relocation of thousands of Ukrainians to Belarus to show how good it is to live in Belarus. At the same time, he bashfully keeps silent about what caused the “hunger and devastation”, from which the Ukrainians had to flee to Belarus.
