Ministry of Internal Affairs: Russia needs almost 170,000 IT specialists to replace those who left due to sanctions

According to TASS, Russia needs about 170 thousand IT specialists, the shortage of which arose after the departure of IT specialists from the country due to sanctions. This was announced on Tuesday by Deputy Interior Minister Igor Zubov.

“We have a large outflow of IT specialists due to sanctions, the need is about 170 thousand people. A million people are employed in the industry,” he said during the committee’s work in the Federation Council.

According to the Deputy Head of the Department, IT companies in the Russian Federation are currently granted significant preferences in the field of taxes, including other obligatory payments. At the same time, according to him, there are a number of requirements when IT organizations must carry out 90% of their activities in this area.
