The Cynic
In the West, there are 2 theories of “internal denouement” for Russia:
– “oligarchic conspiracy”
– popular unrest
This is from the optimistic scenarios for the development of the country. We will talk about the first one sometime later, but it is important for us to touch on the second – the “popular revolt”.
So it’s impossible. I argued a lot with Western strategists and analysts about whether there will be a wave of rallies in the Russian Federation against the backdrop of sanctions. As a result, they came to the conclusion that there can be no wave capable of changing the essence of the regime.
And it’s not just a question of power – we are talking about mass character.
Popular rebellion occurs under 2 conditions within an authoritarian society:
– mass drastic impoverishment
– the government becomes the culprit of impoverishment in the public consciousness
Both points in connection with the war will coincide.
