Finnish group of volunteers handed over 140 DJI Mavic Mini drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to help in reconnaissance against Russian troops. Henri Lindroos and his friends launched a fundraising campaign for this initiative and raised over 52,000 thousand euros to purchase and deliver a batch of DJI Mavic Mini drones.
The trio traveled to Ukraine via Poland. Lindroos says he has already received requests for new drones and plans to arrange another delivery next week. He also explains that the drone company Verkkokauppa provided the aircraft at cost, so the Finns had enough free money to add extra batteries and chargers to the package.
