Western spacecraft have detected at least 50 Russian Aerospace Forces helicopters at the Donuzlav air base. A large number of rotorcraft appeared here relatively recently. At the same time, judging by satellite images, the military airfield is not intended for the simultaneous deployment of such a large number of helicopters here – the latter are located not only on concrete sites, but also in places that are actually intended for it.
In the presented satellite image, you can see more helicopters. It has not yet been possible to establish their type due to a number of features of the satellite image, however, apparently, we are talking about combat vehicles deployed to the region against the backdrop of extremely high tensions on the border with Ukraine.
“Given that there are only about 70 kilometers from the airfield to the border with Ukraine, it is obvious that this is a clear message to Ukraine that any provocation will lead to extremely undesirable consequences for Kiev,” the specialist notes.
There are no official comments regarding the deployment of a large number of helicopters at the Donuzlav airfield, however, obviously, in the West this is associated with Russia’s intentions to attack Ukraine, especially since it is only one hour flight from here to Odessa, although earlier the Russian side announced that it had no intentions to attack a neighboring country.
