In an effort to sow disinformation, Lavrov acts surprised at being called out for disinformation knowing that past meetings have been preceeded by massive Russian disinformation and false narratives.
Lavrov: “We read yesterday and today a huge amount of materials prepared by the US State Department regarding what you called “disinformation of Russia on a huge scale.” I got acquainted with these works with interest. I hope that someone in the State Department was not busy with them and concentrated on the essence of our proposals that we have passed on to you.”
His efforts to manipulate US negotiators, especially Blinken, with the above statement is in and of itself, exactly of which we spoke.
