Based on the information obtained, Shahid Shushtri’s cyber group has launched a new campaign to influence the US presidential elections. The aim of this group is to cause disruption and tension in elections, especially in unstable states (so-called gray states). Since the beginning of 2024, the group has been collecting information about these states and sending messages directly to US Senate candidates in one of the key swing states in order to disrupt the election process.

But what was the purpose of the operation of this cyber group of the Islamic Republic?
The main goal of this campaign is to disrupt the registration process, pollute the voting systems, spread rumors and create chaos, and finally hit the infrastructure of the United States of America elections. This is not the first time that this group has tried to interfere in the US elections; A similar effort was made in 2020. At that time, 24-year-old Syed Mohammad Hossein Musa Kazemi and 27-year-old Sajjad Kashian, who were later charged, managed to access confidential election information from a state website and tried to intimidate American voters through threatening emails. But not only did they fail in their goal, but their limited abilities were revealed and they failed.
Mohammad Baqer Shirinkar, alias Mojtabi Tehrani, is the manager of Shahid Shushtri Group. He works in the cyberelectronics command of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (Jangal).
The interesting and thought-provoking thing about Shirinkar is that he is a bad-tempered and violent person and is known for lying, and his behavior has caused many differences in the group.
Shirinkar also has a close and direct relationship with some key figures of the IRGC Cyber Electronics Command. Among these people, we can mention Amir Lashgarian (Hamidreza), the commander of the cyber corps, and Ali Moghadasi Hajiabad, the head of the cyber group of unit 300; A face whose image has been known in the media for a long time.
Shahid Shoushtari’s group has previously carried out cyber attacks against Israel and the United Arab Emirates. This group published videos to attack the Israeli team in the Olympic Games and shared the results of these actions on the platform and channels “Al Tahera” and “Zeus Is Talking”. They have also attacked several government websites of the United Arab Emirates and other countries, including France, in the past, including the attack on the website of the French magazine Charlie Hebdo.
