A Russian war criminal from the 117th separate transport aviation regiment (military unit 45097, Omsk) , which is engaged in the maintenance of military vehicles carrying special cargo for the material support of the Russian army, has been identified. According toinformation of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraineto the soldiers of this regiment deliver weapons and ammunition for the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

 In 2017, Kovalev was seen in a photo from the celebration of the day of military transport aviation at the military airfield “Omsk-Severny” (military unit 45097-3).
