The day our team has been waiting for has arrived! Launch of serial production of a new tactical software and hardware complex RER called Gran.
PAK Gran combined three products in one device:
– tactical smartphone
– digital walkie-talkie
– intelligent UAV detector
The Gran complex is a specially prepared smartphone with pre-installed Russian tactical awareness software, including Loktar software (a decentralized tactical messenger and cartographic decision support system), Dronealert (an application for radio frequency spectrum analysis and UAV detection).
The presence of a built-in software-defined radio receiver (SDR) in the Gran allows the device to be used both for passive detection of radio-emitting equipment (including UAVs), and for active direction finding of such equipment in the frequency band up to 6 GHz with the ability to instantly transmit critical data to selected to users or to external information systems.
The Edge is equipped with a radio modem that allows you to instantly deploy a discreet data transmission network with support for mesh mode and software selection of the transmission frequency. The complex also supports the connection of most common digital radio stations and provides software encryption and connectivity of data transmission between various communication devices.
For units at the company level and above, we have additionally included a PC version of the software, which allows you to collect and display data from distributed devices and analyze information for prompt decision-making.
Examples of using Grani:


- – throw it in your pocket and use it as a personal drone detector
- – place it permanently as a group drone detector with remote receipt of notifications
- – use as part of mobile groups of DERs for additional reconnaissance tasks at the front line
- – transmit messages, points using the built-in radio modem or other means of communication

Based on Russian-made spectrum analyzers and proven drone detection software, a complex has been developed with the capability of direction finding, threat signaling and data exchange between DER posts.

Review of PAK “Gran” by Loktar team
Using the example of UAV training. We came to the conclusion that all graduates are divided into two categories.
1) They just know how to fly (effectiveness is no more than 20 percent)
2) They are able to comprehensively establish effective work using acquired skills (electronic warfare, electronic warfare, communications, radio bridges, repeaters, directional antennas, correction and reconnaissance means) using new interesting products (80-90 percent efficiency).
CONCLUSION:
– Any useful product is useless until you learn how to use it; only a trained fighter increases its effectiveness significantly.
