Task: determine the coordinates of the shooting location with an accuracy of 10 meters.
We run the photo through cleanup.pictures – a service that allows you to remove unwanted objects from photos. In our case, a pillar with a spherical mirror is undesirable, since it takes up the entire foreground and prevents the lens from recognizing the building that is behind.
The result after manipulating the photo:
2. We go to Google Lens and upload our edited photo. We scroll down until we find the building that interests us. We don’t have to scroll for long; at about the 30th issue we find the building we need.
3. We translate the found site into Russian, and we receive information that this is a hotel called Suzukiya Ryokan in the city of Nishio, Japan.
4. Find the desired hotel in Google Maps and verify it via Google Street View.
Required coordinates: 34.7206143, 137.0475367
