In St. Petersburg, a priest was detained who was going to serve a memorial service for Alexei Navalny at the Solovetsky stone
In St. Petersburg, Bishop of the Apostolic Orthodox Church Grigory Mikhnov-Vaitenko was detained, who yesterday announced that he intends to serve a memorial service for Alexei Navalny at the Solovetsky Stone (there is a spontaneous memorial to the murdered politician).
Father Gregory is a former priest of the Russian Orthodox Church who condemned the annexation of Crimea and the war in Ukraine. After leaving the Russian Orthodox Church, he became a bishop of the “schismatic” Apostolic Orthodox Church. From the very beginning of the war, Mikhnov-Vaitenko has been coordinating the “Refugee Assistance Center in St. Petersburg,” which helps everyone, regardless of beliefs, preferences, age, nationality and gender.

It is conducted by another priest of the Apostolic Orthodox Church. Police are on duty near the Solovetsky Stone.
