Thanks to the Air Force for the excellently planned and conducted operation in the Azov region!
Glory to Ukraine!

Minus the enemy long-range radar detection aircraft A-50 and the enemy’s air control post IL-22!
The special operation in Priazov was successful.

The Air Force is guarding the skies of Ukraine!

There is confirmation that the A-50 was shot down by the Armed Forces!

Soldiers of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the enemy A-50 long-range radar detection aircraft and the Il-22 enemy air control post.
✈️ The destruction of enemy aircraft is a great success of our defenders. The Center for Strategic Communications explains
According to the media and the Ukrainian Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, on January 14, an enemy A-50 aircraft was destroyed over the Sea of Azov and an Il-22M11 was damaged.
▶️ A-50 is a Russian long-range radar detection and control aircraft, thanks to which Russia manages the attacks of its strike aircraft and detects Ukrainian aircraft in the sky.
▶️ This is currently the second loss or damage to the A-50. Before that, a similar plane was disabled by Belarusian partisans at the Machulyshchi airbase in February of last year.
▶️ A-50 is a very complex and specific technique. The enemy is not able to compensate for its losses, and in the arsenal of the Russian Federation there are up to 20 of them in total.
▶️ Il-22M11 is a protected air control post that operated together with the A-50 during enemy air attacks against Ukraine.
▶️ This is Russia’s second Il-22M loss during the war. The first such plane was shot down by fighters of the “Wagner” military unit during the Prigozhyn mutiny in the summer of last year.
▶️ The destruction and disabling of these aircraft is a great success of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, which will make it easier for us to fight enemy aggression in the air.
