From December 12 to 15, 2023, the Central MTU of Rosaviation visited the enterprises of the ZALA group of companies in connection with the development of a new type of unmanned aircraft (UAV) – Z-16.

As a result of the audit, compliance with the Federal Aviation Rules and requirements for legal entities performing aviation work was confirmed.

UAV ZALA Z-16 is a drone built according to the “flying wing” aerodynamic design, capable of conducting surveillance at any time of the day, at temperatures of -40°С … +50°С, at speeds up to 110 km/h, with HD video transmission in real time.

It is ideal for monitoring extended areas. A flight duration of more than 4 hours, all-weather capability, as well as the ability to be equipped with the most modern target loads make this model universal for solving any problems. When developing the ZALA Z-16, much attention was paid to ensuring its low acoustic and visual signature.

The model can be equipped with a video camera and a high-resolution thermal imager, simultaneously perform high-precision aerial photography, operate as a repeater, determine objects and observation coordinates, and collect, process and accumulate information.

A unique feature of the ZALA Z-16 is a combination of reliability, ease of operation and modern technological solutions. Thanks to this, this model is in great demand by law enforcement agencies and special units.

The inclusion of a new type in the operator’s certificate indicates that the company’s activities comply with high requirements in the field of organizing flight work and maintaining the airworthiness of unmanned aircraft. The ZALA group of companies will continue to work on obtaining certificates for the entire line of unmanned aircraft in order to become the first unmanned aircraft company in Russia.
