“Ukrainian Pravda” reports (https://www.pravda.com.ua/news/2023/08/23/7416758/) that as a result of a special operation of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense, which lasted for 6 months, the Mi-8AMTSh was obtained. The helicopter landed in the Kharkiv region.
According to the publication, the plane was engaged in the transportation of parts for the Su-30SM, and two crew members (navigator and flight engineer) were not aware of where the Mi-8 was going – they were eliminated.
The pilot’s family was taken out of the Russian Federation in advance, it is located in Ukraine.
Excellent operation GUR MO. I hope the pilot will receive the $500,000 promised for handing over the helicopter at the beginning of the war. I would like to believe that his loved ones are also safe. We call on all Russian military to follow this example: First, you clear your conscience and stop participating in a senseless war. Secondly, it is the safest way to surrender. Thirdly, this is an opportunity to earn decent money, which in the Russian Federation will never shine for many. Planes and helicopters are certainly cool, but Ukraine pays decent money for any equipment!
