Politician and presidential candidate Fernando Villavicencio is shot dead during an election rally.
According to eyewitnesses, several shots were fired when Villavicencio got into the car. The suspect was killed in a shootout with security guards. Nine people were injured.
In his last speech, Villavicencio promised voters to root out corruption and jail thieves.
Before his tragic death, the politician said that he was repeatedly threatened.
