SBU: Russians planned to passport residents of Kyiv region with USSR documents
In the event of the capture of the Kyiv region, the Russian occupiers planned to establish an occupation administration here and organize a pseudo-referendum to proclaim a local republic. They wanted to register all residents and forcibly hand out USSR passports in exchange for Ukrainian documents, at least for the first time before the Russian documents were issued.

This is evidenced by the data obtained by the SBU’s military counterintelligence on the positions of the invaders, as well as the behavior of racists in those parts of Ukraine that are currently temporarily under their occupation.
In particular, an enemy cache with passport forms of the former USSR was found. It was set up in an abandoned house near the town of Makariv in the Bucha district.
It is noteworthy that these forms were of the Ukrainian model – on behalf of the USSR.
