Answers to the most important and frequent rumors and questions about the country’s military environment
In the first three parts of this series of articles, which will be published in four different parts, Hawa Fazi Parsi channel intends to answer the main questions and uncertainties about some of the most special weapons and military equipment of the country, about which there is very little accurate information and many rumors, and once and for all to present the most accurate information available regarding these cases and the current status of each to the esteemed audience…
The fourth part of this article will be devoted to the most important uncertainties and rumors about the country’s military purchases and the current state of these cases…

The first part
Fish torpedo; The export version of the Russian Shkval torpedo (VA-111 SHKVAL), which held the title of the fastest torpedo in the world, was purchased by the IRGC for use in the Persian Gulf and against the US naval fleet, and some time later, its manufacturing technology also entered the country, and its production line was launched under the name of the whale torpedo (which means whale-eating fish).

With the help of a bubble-making system placed in the nose of the torpedo and using a very special technology, the Hout/Ashkaval torpedo practically travels in a layer of air and does not have much contact with the sea water, this makes the speed of this weapon reach more than three times the speed of other torpedoes with conventional technology in the world (about 100m/s) and it is called the fastest torpedo in the world…
Due to the fact that the Ashkval torpedo was actually designed to carry an atomic warhead and detonate it in the direction of the enemy’s military fleet, it lacked a precise targeting and guidance system…
This issue (which in some tests and exercises led to the deviation of the Hout from the main path and even in some cases to its rotation towards the shooting location) along with other basic defects such as low range and the creation of severe noise by the nose bubble system and the impossibility of fixing these defects in a short period of time, led to the withdrawal of the Hout torpedo from the operational circuit of the IRGC Navy…
Recently and after the passage of several years, the Hawt torpedo, after fixing many defects and optimizations in the guidance, propulsion, warhead and bubble system parts, for use in some manned and unmanned fast boats, as well as a special model of unmanned submarines of the IRGC Navy, is returning to the operational circuit of this force…
Witch Torpedo; This torpedo, which is the result of the cooperation of a knowledge-based company with the unconventional propulsion research center as well as the unconventional technologies research center of the Ministry of Defense, has been developed in several different models for firing from some high-speed torpedo boats, fixed underwater platforms, and also for release by several types of special drones…
The Sahireh torpedo, which is currently operational in the IRGC Navy and is considered a very special torpedo, has very important positive features such as:
High speed
✅ The ability to maneuver and change multiple and fast underwater routes
✅ Use of body material, warhead, propellant, and different and multiple guidance methods
Very good resistance to disturbance.
