A document from the Russian Ministry of Defense (Shoigu’s order) is circulating on the network, according to which, from May 25, 2023, any mention of the Wagner PMC in the Russian media is equated to discrediting the Russian army.

I would like to inform you that in the interests of ensuring the activities of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation in carrying out the state information policy in the field of defense, any publications containing references to “PMC” Wagner “or Evgeny Prigozhin, from 05.25.2023 will be regarded as discrediting the RF Armed Forces and falling under the validity of Articles 207.3 and 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
