In an interview with YahooNews reporters, the head of the GUR noted that the Russian Federation knows how to act in the information space, so even an imaginary attack on the Kremlin will be filed as if in this way the greatest catastrophe in the history of mankind was avoided.

“It sounds like a joke, but Russians perceive such nonsense,” said Budanov.

He added that Russia now has neither the military nor the economic or political capacity to launch a large-scale offensive, but is still able to conduct serious defense operations, and this is a problem that Ukraine will have to face. He added that the Russian Federation is trying to stockpile missiles to thwart the counteroffensive, but the truth is that they have reduced this very stockpile to nothing.

Speaking about recent statements by Prigozhin, Budanov stressed that, compared to the regular army of the Russian Federation, the “Wagnerites” are better prepared, but suffer heavy losses, which Putin’s cook uses to conduct a political campaign.

“His political future is directly related to physical survival, since there are a lot of forces in the Russian Federation who want to eliminate him. For him, this is not even a question of exile and prison – it is a matter of life and death,” the head of the GUR summed up.
