The All-Russian scientific and technical conference on the development of special weapons was held at the Military Academy of the Strategic Missile Forces named after Peter the Great

On the basis of the Military Academy of the Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN) named after Peter the Great, the XXXIV All-Russian Scientific and Technical Conference was held, dedicated to the improvement and development of special weapons.

Its participants were representatives of more than 40 organizations and enterprises of the military-industrial complex, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Strategic Missile Forces and military universities.

The conference was opened by the head of the academy, Lieutenant-General Igor Afonin. He introduced the audience to the history of the famous military university, the prospects for its development and wished the participants success in theoretical and practical research.

As a result of the conference, unified methodological approaches to the development and operation of special weapons were developed, the results of scientific research obtained as part of dissertations of doctoral students, adjuncts and applicants for scientific degrees were summarized, and a number of manuals on academic disciplines were prepared.
