The Japanese Ministry of Defense tracked the launches of 9 PLA missiles during an exercise on August 4, five of which fell into Japan’s claimed exclusive economic zone.
Launch checkpoints (according to the Ministry of Defense of Japan):
1 launch at 09.56 (Moscow time), rocket launch from the coast of Fujian Province, firing range was 350 km;
2 launch at 09.56 (Moscow time), rocket launch from the interior of China, firing range was 700 km;
3 launch at 10.14 (Moscow time), rocket launch from the interior of China, firing range was about 550 km;
4 launch at 10.57 (Moscow time), rocket launch from the coast of Zhejiang Province, firing range was about 350 km;
5 launch at 10.57 (Moscow time), rocket launch from the coast of Zhejiang Province, firing range was about 650 km;
6 launch at 11.05 (Moscow time), rocket launch from the coast of Fujian Province, firing range was about 500 km;
7 launch at 11.05 (Moscow time), rocket launch from the coast of Fujian Province, firing range was about 550 km;
8 launch at 11.08 (Moscow time), rocket launch from the coast of Fujian Province, firing range was about 500 km;
9 launch at 11.08 (Moscow time), rocket launch from the coast of Fujian Province, firing range was about 550 km.
According to the Japanese Ministry of Defense:
➖ during the 1st launch, the fall of parts of the rocket was noted in the north and west of Yonaguni Island;
➖ during launches from 5 to 9, parts of the missiles fell into the waters in the southwest of Hateruma Island. At the same time, from 6 to 9, the rocket launch flew over the island of Taiwan;
➖ during the 2nd and 3rd launches, parts of the missiles fell in the area southwest of Taiwan;
➖ during the 4th launch, the head of the rocket fell in northern Taiwan.
