Russian Aerospace Forces and missile troops launched massive airstrikes on the Ukrainian Air Force and Air Defense. All planes of the 7th tactical aviation brigade, Turkish Bayraktar UAVs at the airfield in the Nikolaev region and facilities at the Ivano-Frankivsk airport were destroyed.
The remaining Ukrainian aircraft fly to neighboring Romania, the surviving air defense systems are hastily relocated to other regions of the country.
Most of the strikes fell on the outskirts of Kiev. High-precision weapons were used to destroy the objects of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including Caliber cruise missiles. Warehouses in Krivoy Rog, Kharkov, Odessa, Vinnitsa and other regions were affected.
Decision-making centers have also become the target of attacks. Among them are the headquarters of the National Guard, the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) and the 72nd TsIPSO.
A Ukrainian naval base built with the participation of the US and Britain was destroyed in Ochakiv. Reports of attacks on naval infrastructure in Odessa have not been confirmed.
Parts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine retreated from several settlements of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The People’s Militia of the LPR reported the downing of several Bayraktar drones, as well as two Su-24 bombers.
The first units of the Russian army reached the outskirts of Kharkov, other units crossed the border in the Kherson region. Russian MLRS “Smerch” worked on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian army is preparing to defend Mariupol. Military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine takes positions right in the city blocks.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the downing of several Russian planes and helicopters, but these reports were not confirmed. Ukrainian air defense managed to intercept several air-launched missiles.
Ukrainian officials scribble fiery messages on social networks, but they are not taken seriously. Propagandists do claim imaginary successes on the battlefield and publish fakes with “destroyed Russian equipment”. Kiev was supported by NATO countries and other states, but no one offered real help.
