Ministry of Information: Jamshid Sharmahd (Tondar), the leader of the Thunder terrorist group, who led an armed and sabotage operation in Iran from the United States, is now in the powerful hands of the anonymous soldiers of Imam Khomeini following a complex operation.

“Iran’s intelligence ministry claims that it’s “arrested” Jamshid Sharmahd, the leader of a US-based opposition group “Tondar”.

Some unconfirmed info indicates that he had traveled to Turkey and was kidnapped there. But It is not confirmed yet.

In Oct 2019, IRGC agents also “arrested” Ruhollah Zam, who ran the anti-Iranian gov Amadnews Telegram channel.

He had traveled to Iraq and was abducted at the Baghdad airport and taken to Iran.

He faces death sentence now.”

Sharmehd planned and directed the explosion operation in Seyyed al-Shohada Hosseiniyah in Shiraz in 2008. In that terrorist act, 14 people were martyred and 215 mourners of Hosseini were injured.

The operation included the explosion of the Sivand Dam in Shiraz, the explosion of cyanide bombs at the Tehran Book Fair, and the explosion of the shrine of Imam Khomeini during a public ceremony.

This terrorist operation failed due to the intelligence control of the Ministry of Intelligence.

Iran says it has detained a leader of a little-known California-based opposition group for allegedly planning a 2008 attack on a mosque that killed 14 people and wounded over 200 others. Iran’s Intelligence Ministry claimed Saturday that Jamshid Sharmahd of the Kingdom Assembly of Iran also planned other attacks around the Islamic Republic amid heightened tensions between Tehran and the U.S. over its collapsing 2015 nuclear deal with world powers. It remains unclear how Sharmahd, whom Iran accused of running the opposition group’s Tondar militant wing, ended up detained by intelligence officials. The Glendora-based Kingdom Assembly of Iran did not respond to requests for comment.
