Iran’s Response to the US Plan and Iran’s Conditions for Ending the War

Analysis: Iran’s Ceasefire Rejection

A senior political-security official told Press TV today:

 Iran will end the war at a time it decides itself and if the conditions it sets are met, and it will not allow Trump to determine the timing of the war’s end.

 According to this source, the US has requested negotiations with Iran through various diplomatic channels and has also made proposals that are excessive and do not reflect the reality of the US defeat on the battlefield.

 Iran has evaluated these proposals, like the two previous times (the spring and winter 2025 negotiations), and considers them a deception to increase tensions, as in both previous instances, the US had no real intention to negotiate and launched a military attack on Iran.

 Iran has rejected the US proposal, which was delivered through a friendly regional mediator, and is ready to continue defending itself and inflict severe blows on the enemy.

This defense will continue until the following conditions are met:
1- Aggression and assassination by the enemy end
2- Objective conditions are created to ensure the war will not be repeated
3- Compensation and war reparations are guaranteed and clearly resolved
4- The end of the war is implemented on all fronts and concerning all resistance groups involved in this battle throughout the region
5- Iran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz is a natural and legal right and will be so, and the guarantee of the implementation of the opposing party’s commitments must be recognized

 These conditions of Iran are in addition to the demands presented to the other side in the second round of negotiations in Geneva (a few days before the US and Israeli attack in March).

 Iran has informed all mediators who have entered this arena in good faith that a ceasefire will occur only when Iran’s conditions are accepted, and no negotiations will take place before that.

 We will continue to defend ourselves until the mentioned conditions are fulfilled, and Iran will end the war when it decides, not when Trump intends to end it.
